Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online application for 209 posts of Assistant Commandant (Group A). Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2020. The posts are in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) namely Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply for the post. No. of Vacancies: 209 Nos. (Border Security Force (BSF)- 78, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)- 13, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)- 69, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)- 27, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)- 22)
Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University/ Institutions or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and below 25 years as on 01/08/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cm; Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cm; Chest (expanded) — 86 cm; Weight — 50 kg.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cm; Weight — 46 kg.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Standards Test and Interview/ Personality Test. The Written Examination will be held on 20th December, 2020. The examination will be held at various centres across India. For more details please see the official advt.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs.200/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/ SC/ ST CANDIDATES.
